Medicaid Estate Recovery

If your deceased loved one received Medicaid, they are entitled to recover against the estate at death.  This is because certain assets such as one’s primary residence are exempt for purposes of Medicaid eligibility.  These assets are not, however, exempt for purposes of Medicaid estate recovery.

Before you call Medicaid, CALL US.  We can tell you whether your family has any legal or equitable defenses against the recovery claim.
